Sharon Land joined the Glenarden Housing Authority (GHA) September, 2019 and presently serves as the Executive Director. Sharon is responsible for managing and directing the Housing Authority’s Financial and Administrative Services, Housing Management and the Capital Fund operations. Her vision is to provide guidance to GHA’s continuing efforts to enhance its economic growth and to maintain a solid financial position.
Ms. Land began her career in public housing in 1986 at the Housing Authority of Baltimore City, holding progressively responsible positions including that of Director of Finance and Accounting. Prior to joining the GHA team, she held various positions at the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis, where her last appointment was Deputy Director of Finance. Sharon continued advancement in her career, joining the Prince Georges County Housing Authority as the Deputy Director responsible for a consolidated budget of approximately $80 million in federal funds
Sharon is a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) and a member of the Association of Government Accountants. She received her MBA degree from the University of Phoenix (Columbia Campus), and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Baltimore.
